Update! Update!

So I finally thought I should update our blog after about 2 1/2 years. A lot has happened in the
last 2 years. So here it is summarized.

1. Our son Conner David Delphenich was born November 2, 2008. (9 lbs 5 oz.)

2. My brother came home from his mission to meet his very first nephew.
3. December 2008 my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, she has now been cancer free for about 1 1/2 years.
4. Conner's baby blessing.
5. Went on a cruise with my family to the Caribbean.

6. Went to Tahoe with David's family, the cousins had a blast playing together.

7. Conner's first birthday November 2, 2009.

8. December 2009 Christmas with the Delphenich's in Utah
9. March 2010 expecting baby #2
10. July 2010 found out we are having a girl!!

11. After several years of trying to work through their differences my parents have decided to get a divorce.
12. Thanksgiving 2010 David's family came to visit since I was very pregnant and could not travel.
13. It is a good thing David's family came to us for thanksgiving because just as we sat down for dinner I went into labor even though my c-section was scheduled for 2 days later.
14. Welcomed Charlotte Rae Delphenich on November 25, 2010 (7 lbs 12 oz.)

15. It is a good thing that I went into labor early, definitely a blessing from Heavenly Father. I had contracted a disease known as TTP it is a very rare blood disease ( 1 to 3 out of a million get it) and can be onset by pregnancy before the doctors could diagnose it ( I was at John Muir, a big hospital, and I was the first case they had ever had) my kidneys and liver had started shutting down. I had also started talking with completely random words and not knowing real from fake all those vampire novels came back to haunt me, literally. TTP caused my body not to be able to filter out blood clots which is why my kidney and liver started to fail because they started to fill up with blood clots and my brain was full of blood clots. They put me on plasma pheresus, kind of like dialysis, they had to take out all of my plasma and replace it with new donated plasma. I was in the hospital for 10 days while my husband did the single dad job with a toddler and a newborn, thank goodness for my parents and all their help

16. I am grateful for the hand of God in all the circumstances that put me at that hospital with those doctors and nurses that saved my life, this disease used to have and 80% mortality rate before before the plasma machine was invented.
17. Charlotte's Baby blessing.
18. I love being a mother to 2 beautiful children.

This has been a crazy, wonderful 2 1/2 years. I love my family and am so grateful for where we are and all that we have been through because we truly appreciate each other and the lives we have together. I hope you are having a good year and stay tuned for more updates, they will be coming more often.

Nursery

Some people wanted to see our finished nursery. We had a lot of fun doing it, we didn't want a theme and we really wanted it to be a room that could transform from boy to girl if that is what we have next so the blue strip will become pink. Here it is:

Baby boy Conner is here!!!

Conner David Delphenich joined us on November 2nd, one week earlier then his due date, good thing he was early, he came in weighing a whopping 9lbs. 5oz. and was 20 3/4 in. long.

So we would have posted sooner but the family needed a little time to recover, after 30 hours of labor and then in the end Abby had to have a cesarean and a blood transfusion it hasn't been to fun.

But Abby is recovering nicely and its been great to have this little bundle of joy around, he's absolutely amazing, and despite the lack of sleep, things have been going great. Don't you just love the chubby checks!

We're Still Here

Hello everyone!!

If we still have readers out there you will soon find out why we have been such slackers at posting. So here is a quick update and what we have been up to. First, with about 2 months left to our due date David got offered a new job. We were not looking for a new job, especially with the baby coming so soon but it is an amazing opportunity for us and for career advancement for David. With David's old job he was designing the ads for web pages, but now he is designing how users interact with the website it is the direction he is really hoping to take his career in. It is also cool that he is working for Ancestry.com so he is helping with genealogy which is really cool. So we had a big family discussion if this was the right time for such a big change and that is what we did, he turned in his 2 week notice. During that 2 week notice we had already decided that we were redoing our kitchen because we didn't even have enough storage for us let alone baby items. So David got to work and this is what he did, my husband is amazing!!

Yup, that's right David ripped out all of the cabinets, mounted all the new cabinets, put the hardwood floor back in. The only thing he didn't do was the granite counter tops. Now what have I been up to while David has been so busy. First I went back to teaching when school started and yesterday was my last day, now making me available to post. I took the summer off which was amazing and spent it getting the house, baby's room, and getting all my sub plans ready so I could take enough time off with the baby. I have also been very, very busy going a very large baby who is due 15 days from tomorrow (everyone cross their fingers that it will be sooner than that). Also you have to excuse the pictures we always seem to take them right before bed when I am exhausted.

My next post will be soon because we had some visitors this summer as well as the finished kitchen and nursery. I also hope to be posting soon about the birth of our son. Hope everyone is doing well.

IT'S A BOY!

We just got back from having the ultrasound and we have some exciting news, its a BABY BOY, definitely a boy, the proof is in the first pic. Abby wasn't sure if we should have his bits and pieces out there for the world to see, but its to just to cool, so thats that. I guess the majority had it right on the poll, and we couldn't be happier. Now I guess it's time to start shopping, Abbys going to have a blast!

Here's the baby butt, among other things.
